This trail begins on the east side of the main road north, near the bottom of the hill just before the Walcan Road turnoff, a ten-minute drive from Heriot Bay.

You park your car in the old road area at the bottom of the hill or just above there on the west side of the main road where the trail begins on the opposite (east) side of the road.

The easy trail takes only 5 – 10 minutes to walk, through attractive forest, passing three salmon observation platforms built beside the stream for people to stand on while watching the salmon during spawning season in late autumn and early winter.
